The Nashville Civil War Roundtable’s August 18 program will feature Brandon Hulette, Vice President of the Battle of Nashville Trust and Vanderbilt University professor, presenting “What Lies Beneath: The Battle of Nashville.” The meeting will take place at the Belle Meade Historic Site and Winery at 5025 Harding Pike, with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. followed by the program at 7:00 p.m.

Hulette will discuss a study tracking physical remnants of the Battle of Nashville and Hood’s final campaign, with particular attention to issues facing Middle Tennessee preservationists seeking to protect battlefield sites within an increasingly urban landscape.
